PROJECT DETAILS

A major 16,000 LF water main installation completed on an aggressive schedule despite solid rock excavation and other challenging site conditions.

The Springfield-Lebanon Water Interconnect project consisted of installing 16,000 LF of 8” water main, a master meter vault, and several directional and grade bores.

Delivered via the Design-Bid-Build method by Bell Engineering, this project was partially funded through the federal government, requiring compliance with Davis-Bacon and American Iron and Steel provisions.

In this Public Utility project, we faced several significant challenges that drove our team to work efficiently and accurately to achieve the following objectives:

Unique challenges for this project included the presence of solid rock excavation and numerous existing utilities. The project also had an aggressive schedule that required high and consistent production.
