Complete site development for the new Publix retail center in Lexington.

The project scope for the Publix at The Fountains at Palomar included complete site development. This ranged from the demolition of existing roads and utilities to mass earthwork, which involved exporting over 30,000 cubic yards of material. The project concluded with the installation of new water, sewer, fire protection, and storm drainage systems, as well as new curb and asphalt.

This project presented several unique challenges. The schedule was aggressive, requiring pad delivery in a very short timeframe—a goal our team successfully met despite adverse weather conditions. A primary logistical challenge was managing the 30,000 cubic yards of excess material, as every yard of excavated earth had to be hauled off-site. This required complex phasing and strong coordination with our hauling partners to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
