Michter’s Warehouse
The Mitchers Warehouse project was a tilt up bourbon barrel storage warehouse.
The sitework included mass grading, mass and trench rock removal, Storm drainage, Water, fire, and sewer. Some unique aspects of the project were a design build phasing plan that was required to provide external pour pads for the tilt up process. These temporary pads were designed to reduce the amount of mass earth moving requirements to improve overall site logistics while minimizing the amount of over excavation and additional rock removal.
Projects Challenges
Challenges with this project that were overcome included the site logistics and schedule requirements coupled with the presence of high rock. Much of the sitework was done during the winter months which added to the challenge of maintaining a productive site.
